Hailing
from a small island off the North West coast
of Scotland and reared on a diet of undiluted
Scottish folk and bagpipes, McVicky developed
her enthusiasm for music quite late in life.
|
It
was only after a few uneventful years lost in
smoky pubs in Edinburgh that she finally stumbled
- or fell - into the Underground Party scene,
where she discovered her passion for Acid House
and full on thumping Techno. 10 years of dedicated
clubbing finally replaced all memories of swinging
kilts and 'gay gordons'!
|
|
Now
a little older, a lot more sober, and finding
herself living in London, Vicky has spent the
last 6 months studying music production at the
highly recommended Point
Blank music college as well as learning
the guitar, piano, singing and Egyptian dance!
McVicky has thrown herself with great
enthusiasm and immediate success into producing
her own freestyle form of dance electronica.
With a wild and untamed ear, she is producing
the kind of sounds never before heard on any
remote Scottish hillside!

As
a newcomer to the scene McVicky's barnstorming,
tower-block shaking, 'Urban Blues' is an astonishingly
accomplished work. With it's improbable yet utterly
compelling combination of thunderous Drum and
Double Bass, Acid-Rain Trance and 12 Bar Blueness,
we're still in awe of this, her second ever track!!
Whatever they may be, we can't wait to hear what
weird and wonderful sounds she will come up with
next…
